Puree Broccoli [Brokoli]

By V

Hey everyone,

Today we will give baby broccoli. I wanted to introduce broccoli at an early stage so that my baby gets use to the green colour food. It’s often the ones that children refuses to eat [ptit pois, epinard…etc]. Broccoli is very rich in Vitamin C but it can cause gas problem. So if your baby had any digestive issue, wait at least baby turns 10 months.

We will make the broccoli  a little more interesting by adding some cheese – here I used Kiri for the low salt intake.

Here we go…

Instructions
  1. Cut the broccoli in small florets. I usually peel the small stem to avoid having hard pieces.
  2. Soak the broccoli florets in water with salt (gros sel) to remove the small green worms often invisible as they are same colour as the vegetable.
  3. Steam the broccoli for 20 mins
  4. Blend it all together with the Kiri cheese. Add water for easier blending. And your broccoli puree is READY!
