Ragi or finger millet is a high cereal that is very rich in protein and rich source of minerals. It controls cholesterol and is an excellent baby food. In Mauritius we are not very used to have this flour but do read about its benefits.
Ragi is cooked same as semolina [greo] with some ghee and cardamon. You can also mix with chopped nuts when your baby starts eating them. It looks very weird in colour but it taste same as greo according to my taste.
As I do not use suger yet in baby food, you can add apple puree for the sweetness…I used the apple puree that kept in the freezer in ice cubes for quicker preparation.
