Puree Papaya [Papay]

One if the common fruit that you can get in Mauritius is papaya. This fruit is very rich in fiber, easy to digest and prevents constipation. You can introduce papaya as from 6 months to babies.

There is no need to cook it, just cut – deseed – mash! But many people will steam it for 5-10 minutes to make it softer and can also keep longer. I cooked a whole papaya and kept them in little ice cube tray in freezer.

  1. Cut, peel and deseed the papaya
  2. Cut them in small portions, you can either mash them directly to your preferred consistency and give baby. Or you can steam for 5-10 minutes.
  3. It's READY!!
