Hello mummies and daddies,

Yes you read well, we are going to make chinese chicken corn soup for your little one.

This recipe is great for babies, toddlers or even adults. In fact this is a recipe my mum usually made at home and I thought of adapting it for my kid. This is also the first time that I have introduced chicken for my baby.

Instructions
  1. Prepare your ingredients. Cut a small piece of ginger - about 2cm.
  2. Put the chicken, spring onion, peppercorn and ginger to boil together for 15minutes.
  3. In the meantime, prepare your corn. I used frozen ones.
  4. Blend the corn to a paste texture.
  5. Once the chicken is ready, remove the peppercorn, ginger and spring onion from the water. Keep the water as it will be used for the soup.
  6. Shred the chicken with hands or fork & knife to make small thin threads.
  7. Add the blended corn to the water collected in step 5. Boil for 5 minutes and add the shredded chicken. Let boil for 10 minutes
  8. Chinese chicken corn soup is ready!!
Recipe Notes

Always consult your pediatrician before giving new ingredient to your baby.

For adult version, add some Niouk yen (steamed chayote balls) to the soups together with chopped spring onion. A teaspoon of crushed chilli and you are done! 🙂 One cooking for the whole family.
