Chicken Meefoon Kids Recipe

By V

Hello friends, today I will make your discover my version of meefoon (rice noodles). It’s a simplify way – easy and quick to prepare for your kids. I used broccoli and carrot for this recipe but feel free to use the vegetables that you prefer.

I bought a small packet for rice noodles – to avoid wastage but you can use big packet if parents will also have this meal 🙂

Super yum, please send me a photo if you tried this recipe.

Instructions
  1. Prepare all your ingredients - chicken, broccoli and carrot. I used a small packet of rice noodle to avoid wastage.
  2. Marinate your chicken cut in pieces with salt, pepper and some garlic paste. Fry the chicken in some oil.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp vegetarian or normal oyster sauce.
  4. Add 1/2 tsp light soya sauce.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Soak the rice noodle in water (room temperature).
  7. In the same pan, do not add oil and put your vegetables. Let cook for 2 mins.
  8. Add meefoun soup powder (optional). If you do not have this, you can skip the step.
  9. Add boiling hot water in the preparation. I add enough to cover the vegetable. I did not want it to be too soupy.
  10. Add the cooked chicken to the mixture.
  11. Mix all the ingredients together.
  12. Now that the rice noodles is soaked, you can remove. I rinse it a little to remove the excess starch.
  13. Add the soaked rice noodle to the vegetables and chicken. Let cook for 3-5 minutes.
  14. Your meefoon is ready. Blend to the consistency that you prefer if your kid is not eating solids yet.
