Prepare your ingredients: butternut, green beans and red lentils.
Cut the butternut in small pieces, devein the green vegetables and cut them in slices.
Steam both the butternut and green beans for 15 minutes.
Soak the red lentils for one hour to remove all the residue then wash the grains. Cook with 1 cup of water on slow flame in a pan for 15 mins while the vegetables are steaming.
Vegetables are steamed and ready.
Blend the vegetables together for OPTION 1 or add the blended vegetables together with the cooked lentils for OPTION 2.
