Fruity Sweet Potato with Apricot

By V

Fruity Sweet Potato…sounds weird right but check out this recipe I did for my little one.

I found really nice fresh apricots at the supermarket. I was wondering how to add it to my baby’s diet. I did not give her directly the fruit because it does taste a bit acidic so I thought of mixing it with something sweet…and best sweet vegetable that came to my mind was sweet potato and carrot!

I do not think it is appropriate to give apricot to your baby before he/she turns 9 months because they can have issue digesting the skin.

Let’s see the steps to this recipe:

Instructions
  1. Prepare your ingredients.
  2. Peel the sweet potato and carrot. I also peeled the apricot but this is optional. As it was the first time that I gave apricot to my baby, I preferred being on the safe side not to upset her little tummy.
  3. Steam the vegetables for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the apricot and let steam for 2-3 minutes more.
  5. Blend it all and it's ready!!
Recipe Notes

Always consult your pediatrician before giving new ingredient to your baby.
