3 Vegetables – 7 Possibilities – 30 Mins
How to make food for your baby when you have a hectic week at work? I have to admit that I struggle sometimes to make food when I am super busy. But no way I will give my cookie processed purees… so I did a combination with 3 vegetables and it gave me 7 different purees and all done in 30 mins.
I will use here POTATO, GREEN BEANS & CAULIFLOWER [pomdeter, zariko ver ek soufleur]
This is a practical recipe for working mums or for mums who just want a break from the kitchen 🙂

- Puree Potato
- Puree Green Beans
- Puree Cauliflower

You should start by steaming all the 3 vegetables seperately like in the picture below:
It will take about 15-20 minutes
1) Puree Potato
Steps: After steaming the potato – you blend it to the consistency that you prefer. Add a teaspoon of butter to give it more richess or use milk (formula or breastmilk).
This is like mash potato.
2) Puree Green Beans
Steps: After steaming the green beans – you blend it to the consistency that you prefer.
3) Puree Cauliflower
Steps: Make sure that you was the cauliflower properly and remove the small worms that might be in the vegetable. One good technique is to leave the vegetable to soak with coarse salt for 10 minutes. The small worms will come out easily.
After steaming the cauliflower – you blend it to the consistency that you prefer.
4) Puree Potato & Green Beans
Steps: After steaming the potato & green beans – you blend it to the consistency that you prefer. Add some coconut oil / olive oil or some butter.
5) Puree Potato & Cauliflower
Steps: After steaming the potato & cauliflower – you blend it to desired consistency.
6) Puree Green Beans & Cauliflower
Steps: After steaming the green beans & cauliflower – you blend it to desired consistency. Add some cumin powder and thyme (optional).
7) Puree Potato, Green Beans & Cauliflower
Mix the steamed vegetables all together!! 🙂
Storage:
Concerning the storage, I keep the puree in a baby food friendly containers.
Also some labels to recognise each puree. Those purees can be refrigerated for 3 days and freezer for 1 month.
