Puree Zucchini [Kourzet]
Zucchini is an extremely interesting vegetable to introduce when your baby is starting to eat. We will start with plain zucchini and some cheese to give a nicer taste. I usually do not add cheese to my baby’s food except if she’s disliking something but I thought some could be added to this vegetable for an extra treat 🙂
Zucchini is an easy vegetable that can be cooked in different ways: Cook with a little water on the stove, steam or microwaved. The benefits are numerous:
- Presence of calcium
- Good source of magnesium
- Builds immunity through vitamin C
- Easily digestible

Do we need to peel zucchini ? Personally unless you buy bio zucchini, I would suggest that you peel them in the beginning because of the pesticides even if people say most vitamins are found in the peel. Soak the vegetable for one hour, rince and then peel.
Do we eat the seeds of zucchini? Yes yes yes… they are very tender and totally fine to eat.
So here we go:
- Soak, wash and peel the zucchini
- Cut the vegetable in small pieces for fast cooking
- Steam the zucchini for 10-15 mins, it normally cooks very fast.
- Add some cheese (if desired)
- Blend all together
- Ready to eat 🙂
