Puree Lychees [Leksi]
The best thing about December in Mauritius is that it is the lychees season! Who doesn’t love those juicy sweet bites and I could not resist making my baby have a taste of it. We used to have a big tree at home where I used to play when I was a kid and feeding my baby her first lychee from this very tree, was a bit emotional for me… it brought me back to my childhood.
So here we go for a lychee puree – as from 7 months. If ever you want to try this recipe, better check if your doctor is fine in introducing fruits yet.
Step 1: Wash the lychees well with the peel – I put my to soak for 15 mins.
Step 2 : Peel the lychees and carefully remove the hard part attached to the seed
Step 3 : Steam for 7 mins to make them softer for blending
Step 4 : Blend with water
Step 5 : Ready to eat

As we do not get lychess all year around, you can feeze them in ice trays and keep them in freezer bags.
